Beaufort teen shot dead at state home. suspect charged
A 17 year old Beaufort County boy David Mikell was killed when shot at 2 37 p m while in a state Department of Social Services home vehicle. Joshua Hodge 16 of Florence County was wounded and kept in critical condition. Neighbor Joseph Norriss 65 was charged with murder and assault with intent to kill after Hodge identified him as the shooter. Police recovered a small caliber firearm at the scene.
