Aiken County Rep M Judson Busbee and Rep John Bradley propose a five year or 50000 mile full warranty for all cars sold in South Carolina. Busbee cites his own Buick troubles and says national firms should return to longer warranties. The bill would cover engines transmissions rear axles brakes air conditioning and electrical components and could raise state car sales if enacted.
Randy D. Huff of Warrenville filed to run as a Republican for the District 84 seat in the South Carolina House now held by Marion D. McGowan. McGowan and Michael D. Duncan have already filed and will face off in the June 13 Democratic primary. Huff, 23, USC graduate and treasurer of the Aiken County Republican party, pledges emphasis on education, insurance, judicial reform, and local law enforcement, plus voter registration drives.
