Cullinan to Seek Re election for District 7 on Republican ticket

Councilman Ralph F Cullinan announced plans to run again for re election to the District 7 seat on the Republican ticket. He has served in county government since 1972, is married to Eleanor Nofer and has three children. He holds a chemistry degree and retired after 7 years with Du Pont. William Russ Ferrara filed to run as a Democrat for Seat 7. Aiken reports warn of a scam phone deal offering prizes but requesting card numbers. The Aiken Hunt Meet set for March 24 at Clark Field lists several price levels and sponsors. Polo games at Whitney Field are scheduled Sundays at 1 pm and 3 pm, weather permitting.

Aiken Hunt Meet Races For Cash At Clark Field

The Aiken Hunt Meet part of the Triple Crown will be run Saturday at Clark Field on Powderhouse Road with seven races including three flat and four jump events. Gates open 1:19 a.m. for a 1:30 p.m. first race. tickets cost 4 adults 2 children under 12 and 2 for parking. Railside spaces are sold out with limited subscriber railside spots left. Top purses include 5500 for Bayard Warren maiden steeplechase 3000 for stable pony, 4000 for Aiken Standard Gold Cup and 10000 for the Coors Imperial Cup sponsored by Coors Beer.
