Johnson wins in OT at Fontana to extend win record
Jimmie Johnson pulled away in overtime to beat Kevin Harvick for his sixth NASCAR Sprint Cup Series win at Fontana and his 77th career victory, passing Dale Earnhardt for seventh all time. The El Cajon driver surged after a late restart, crediting fresh tires for the victory as Harvick finished second and Kyle Busch suffered a tire failure. Johnson, 40, said he feels he is the best physically and mentally in his career and plans to keep racing for years.
