Summit Business Center in Aiken will span 750 acres as a major private funded industrial park. The city approved a development agreement offering $1000 per new job after the initial 25, for five years, in a first time use of such incentives. City manager Steve Thompson notes routine development deals but praises the new job incentive program and partnership with Summit.
