Pack 463 formed at Friendship Baptist Church with Earnest Saylor as scout master and Will Jones as assistant. The unit, partnering with Pack 428, serves high minority areas, aims to sustain via church support and community involvement, and earned Quality Unit status from the Georgia Carolina Council.
In 2003 04 the Augusta VA Medical Center moved outpatient care to the uptown campus with 500 yard walks for patients. MCL Detachment pledged 500 dollars toward a four passenger golf cart, Club Car donated a cart valued at an amount to be confirmed, delivered March 15, 2004.
