Councilman Proposes PSA Reorganization Plan

Aiken County Councilman HLM McElhaney introduces an ordinance to overhaul the Public Service Authority. The reform shifts board power from four major customers United Merchants, Graniteville, and the cities of Aiken and North Augusta to more at large members, reducing their dominance and aligning with other county bodies. The plan requires three readings and a public hearing before final passage, with McElhaney planning to introduce it on April 2.
