Cancer centers limited under new health care plan
An Associated Press survey shows leading cancer hospitals are inaccessible to many insured under the new health care program. Seattle Cancer Care Alliance is excluded by five of eight Washington plans. MD Anderson is in fewer than half of Houston area plans. Memorial Sloan Kettering is included by two of nine New York plans with two more out of network. Only four of 19 top centers respond as accessible to all insurers in their states.

Cancer centers on exchanges show uneven in network access
The AP contacted 23 National Comprehensive Cancer Network centers about exchange insurer coverage. Buffett Cancer Center in Omaha is in-network with three of four insurers, but not all plans include it. Dana-Farber, Duke, Fox Chase, Huntsman, and City of Hope appear variably in networks, raising concern over access as costs rise.
