Lady Thoroughbreds win Class AAA state basketball title
The South Aerialn High School girls basketball team, coached by rookie Phil Strickland, capped a remarkable season by defeating McDuffie 77 67 at Irmo High School to claim the Class AAA state crown. The squad finished 25 2, won Conference 5 AAA and Lower State titles, and featured a young lineup with one senior and others new to varsity.
