Aiken Trials Draw Big Crowd Focusing on People and Horses
At the Aiken Trials, an estimated 15 000 to 17 000 attendees crowded the grounds. Many came for the social scene and weather, while some watched the races or relaxed with fried chicken. Local horsemen praised the track and bloodlines, noting the event as both social spectacle and horse education.
