Beech Island man sentenced to 23 years for felony DUI deaths

Kenny Jackson, 30, of Beech Island, received two concurrent 23 year terms after pleading guilty to two counts of felony DUI for a crash on January 8, 2011, near Aiken that killed sisters Sheila Roberts and Brenda Adams. Jodi Stein sustained injuries but recovered. Jackson had a BAC of .222.

Aiken Trials Tailgate Rules Set for Saturday

Spectators at the 70th Aiken Trials must stay off the track, avoid balloons and whistles, and keep tailgate setups within assigned spots. Gates open at 10 a.m. with race starts at 2 p.m. Tickets range from 10 to 70 dollars, and pets are prohibited on race day.
