Alleged jewel heist fugitive captured in New Jersey
Angela Epps age 46 was arrested in Trenton at the home of her estranged wife as a suspect in a string of armed Zales jewelry store robberies in Smithfield North Carolina on December 16 2005 and Myrtle Beach South Carolina on February 7 2006. She and Gilbert Smith are sought by authorities in multiple states and extradition proceedings are pending. FBI officials credited joint state and federal efforts for the arrest.
