Welder Hurt in Explosion at Local Plant
An employee of Southeastern Pipe and Drain Systems suffered severe burns to his hands in an early morning explosion at the Trolley Line Road facility. Charlie Dunbar, new to welding, ignited gases inside a five gallon drum with an electrical tool when heat and pressure built up and the drum exploded.
