Aiken Town Sparks With Horse Fever And Quilt Gala
The Aiken Mile Track drew several thousand race fans to a sunny day of picnics and Standardbreds as residents gathered for horse racing events. A quilt show at the Aiken County Historical Museum opened with a reception hosted by the Quilt Show Committee and local clubs, continuing through March 24. Dr. Wallace McNair was honored at a separate reception hosted by medical groups and local hosts.
