Annual USC Aiken Golf Classic supports student scholarships
The 11th USC Aiken Golf Classic at the Reserve in Woodside Plantation raised over 9000 for undergraduate scholarships. More than 60 golfers participated, about one third alumni, with winners Gerry Owen David Cooper Sam Roberts and Chris Bryant. Sponsors included Coca Cola Chick-fil-A State Farm and Edward Jones among others.

Aiken Trials Set for Saturday at Aiken Training Track
The Aiken Trials will be held Saturday at the Aiken Training Track on 538 Two Notch Road SE. Gates open at 10 a.m. with the opening ceremony at 1 p.m. and races starting at 2 p.m. Tickets range from 10 dollars general to 650 dollars a Winners Circle table of 10. This event opens the Aiken Triple Crown and there are future events on March 26 and April 2.
