Nature artist displays her work at Etherredge Center
Vancouver born painter Mari lyn Houston-Smith showcases thirteen soft pastel and watercolor landscapes and still lifes at the Etherredge Center in Aiken South Carolina. Her semi-impressionistic pieces draw on North Carolina mountain scenery with a focus on nature’s survival and beauty. Beech Island Man Jailed in Knife Point Domestic Violence Case
James Anthony Ford 28 of Cary Drive Beech Island was jailed this week on charges of high and aggravated criminal domestic violence possession of a weapon during a violent crime and unlawful neglect by a legal custodian. Investigators say he held a woman at knifepoint with her child present at the Cary Drive home and restrained her while armed.
