More than 150 took part in two road races sponsored by the Aiken Recreation Department. George Howe of Clemson won the ten mile road race in 53 09 with 96 finishers in the field. winners were named in five age groups. Reggie Miller led the under 19 group. Russell Moores led 31 to 40. Buddy Mimmons topped over 50. Marjorie Loewer won the women’s division. Sixty eight ran the two mile event.
