Settlement in Boston church abuse case spawns more lawsuits
A multimillion-dollar settlement with 86 victims of priest abuse by John J. Geoghan tops ongoing actions against the Archdiocese of Boston. Attorneys say at least 58 more suits have been filed and over 100 people have joined or approached lawyers, with meetings to set compensation for the 86 victims scheduled between April and October.
