Local students shine at South Carolina Junior Science Olympiad
The 20th annual junior science Olympiad at Newberry College gathered fourteen middle school teams from across the state on February 21. Paul Knox led with a 1st team score of 122, Kennedy 7th with 108, and many students earned multiple third place finishes in events such as Life Science Process, Forestry, Dynamic Planet, and Bridge Building. Kennedy entrants also claimed top spots in Meteorology and other events, highlighting wide student achievement across biology, earth science, chemistry, and engineering categories.
