High School League approves amendments to constitution
The South Carolina High School League at its Charleston conference approved two constitutional changes. An 11 member appellate panel will hear appeals on executive committee decisions with appointments by legislative delegations, the governor, the House speaker, the Senate president pro tem, and the Chamber of Commerce. The second change relaxes forfeiture rules by allowing for possible forfeits only in games involving ineligible players.

Aiken City Council Eyes $15.4 Million Road Plan
The council will review an intergovernmental agreement with the Transportation Infrastructure Bank to disperse $13.5 million for Hitchcock Parkway and University Parkway widening and Dougherty Whiskey roads intersection work. Local, county, and state funds total $15.4 million. A second reading to annex Banks Mill Road half acre for limited business is on the agenda.
