Former Ga animal control officer charged with ill treatment
Aiken County authorities arrested Callie Bagshaw 46 for ill treatment of animals after finding more than 40 dogs at her Alpine Drive home. Nine adults 21 puppies and 11 newborn Dachshunds were found in crowded crates with dehydration and feces.

Father charged with assault and battery on son
Gregory Lewis 44 of Edgefield Avenue was charged with assault and battery with intent to kill after a dispute with his 21-year-old son. Police say the son was stabbed in the neck with a knife from behind during a heated argument. The victim, injured but non life threatening, was taken to a local hospital. Lewis was arrested and the knife recovered.
