Camellia Show Blooms in North Augusta With 301 Entries
The Aiken Camellia Society hosted its 10th annual North Augusta Camellia Show at the city’s community center. Paul and Corinthia Greenway of Martinez, Ga., won best in show with a black tie bloom from 301 red white and pink entries. Jim Dickson notes many outdoor blooms survived a cold winter and about 30 percent were greenhouse grown. Society members see possibilities for a similar Augusta event and invite public interest to grow the club.
