Dana Reeve dies of lung cancer in New York
Dana Reeve, 44, wife of Christopher Reeve and longtime advocate for spinal cord injury research, died of lung cancer at Memorial Sloan Kettering in Manhattan after a public life supporting her husband and fans. She leaves son Will and two stepchildren, with the Christopher Reeve Foundation noting her illness followed a period of apparent health.
