State Trooper May Face Criminal Charges
A Florida state trooper Lance Cpl. W H Beckwith may face criminal charges after a January 8 traffic stop video shows him shoving and cursing an unarmed woman, threatening to cut her clothes off. Officials fired Beckwith and forwarded the tape to law enforcement bodies for possible assault and civil rights violations. The unidentified traveler faced a long stop in which Beckwith dragged her from the car and used profane, threatening language and a gun.
