Aiken County to hear multiple development deals and rezoning
Aiken County Council will finalize two economic development projects Automatic Switch and Stephen Gamble and consider two more projects Apollo and McFarlan with Edgefield County. A large Beech Island rezoning of 1934 acres from Rural Development to Residential is on the agenda. Council also weighs a tethering ordinance and rejects Diversified Equities RFP for the old county office complex redevelopment. A work session precedes the meeting.
