Aiken Man Charged After Drunk Beer Shoplift
Aiken police report George Griffin, 65, allegedly intoxicated when he tried to steal beer from a Richland Avenue drug store. Officers found four bottles returned, plus a hidden beer in his jacket and an active trespass warrant at a nearby grocery store. He remained in detention Thursday.

A 79 year old Warrenville woman reported a wallet stolen containing 2000 dollars after visiting a Richland Avenue restaurant. A man shoplifted two bottles of gear oil on Whiskey Road. A Williston woman reported card theft used at an ATM in Chicago. Two vehicles were stolen from Dibble Road in Aiken and from Augusta Road Warrenville and Church Street Clearwater. Burglary reports on Fir Street North Augusta and Simplicity Lane Aiken with guns and ammo and firearms missing. A heat exchanger was stolen from Douglas Drive Beech Island.
