South Carolina House Approves Broad Corporate Tax Break Plan
The 105 to 9 vote advances a package phasing out corporate income tax by 2013 to spur economic development with credits for small firms and new worker hires while raising Commerce Department funding. A separate proposal considers deep cuts to disability services to close a 560 million budget gap, limiting help to about 4,800 recipients.
