Proposed bill shifts education funds to road repairs
Aiken County School Board member Keith Liner reports that the South Carolina House budget proposal would divert 37.6 million dollars from the Education Improvement Act to road projects, leaving 8.3 million for schools. The plan also raises the base per student cost to 2400 but remains below the 2984 required by law.
