Mountain dogs carry large load at Hitchcock Woods

Six greater Swiss mountain dogs joined a 10 mile Hitchcock Woods hike with loads of 20 to 30 percent of body weight. Organizer Melissa Jarriel said Keygan, her 115 pound dog, enjoyed socializing and hiking with others. The event supports pack dog titles from the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Club of America and drew owners from the Southeast.
