Astronaut Couple to Fly Together in Space Mission
Cape Canaveral NASA allows Mark Lee and Jan Davis to fly together on the 1992 Spacelab mission aboard Endeavour. The decision marks the first shuttle flight for Davis and makes the couple the third married pair among about 80 active astronauts. Lee will be payload commander. the mission is a joint U.S. Japanese venture.

Allies Free First Iraqi POWs as unrest spreads in Iraq
The Allies freed the first Iraqi prisoners of war today and 35 coalition POWs were to fly out of Iraq. Baghdad radio reported Saddam Hussein s interior minister was fired and cousin Ali Hassan al Majid named to replace him. About 300 POWs left northern Saudi Arabia for Baghdad aboard two planes, nine nationals among them.
