Tanks Sealed at Savannah River Site With Grout Fill

22 underground radioactive solvent tanks at the Savannah River Site were filled with 1 550 cubic yards of grout. Spokesperson Fran Poda notes grading and shielding to fix contaminants and stabilize the tanks in the Old Radioactive Waste Burial Ground awaiting a protective cap and soil cover per EPA and DHEC plan.

Woodside suit settlement draw stirs resident response

About 900 residents were in the Woodside lawsuit with roughly 200 opting out of the proposed settlement. Plaintiffs include Bryce N Brown and Patricia A Brown among others. defendants list Woodside Realty LLC and several affiliated firms. Some residents criticize the deal while others await statements from Woodside Development as talks continue.
