Public barred from topping off at Aiken Community Hospital

M C Bud Dokes construction superintendent for J M Rogers Construction Co said the public cannot be accommodated at the steel topping ceremony for the Aiken Community Hospital. He noted trucks and heavy equipment make the site unsafe for visitors though officials may attend and the project remains ahead of schedule for the health needs of citizens. The ceremony will be held for city and county officials at the hospital site.

The Aiken Housing Authority requests a zoning change for an 18.6 acre Chesterfield Street tract to build a 100 unit low rent project.
