Police, responding to a suspicious person on Todd Avenue in North Augusta, found David Anthony Britton asleep on a porch. He claimed he was a ninja and on jiu jitsu, resisted arrest, and was tasered twice before being taken to the Aiken County detention center.
Thirty plus individuals are listed for bookings at the Doris C. Gravat Detention Center for late February into early March. Offenses include DUI first offenses, driving under suspension, assault, shoplifting, larceny, burglary, domestic violence, probation holds, and drug or weapon related charges. The Area 4 Advisory Council of the Aiken County Public School District will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday. The meeting will be held at Busbee Corbett Elementary Middle School at 20 A L Corbett Circle in Wagener.
Aiken City Council members and staff will meet today at 4 p.m. in room 204 of the Municipal Building to discuss advancing the Gem Lakes extension roads with developers Eisner and Gaul LLC. Interim City Manager Roger LeDuc said a hired inspector found the road stabilizing and noted large rectangular patches seem effective.

A 2004 Ford Taurus was recovered from a pond off Woodfield Road in Aiken County Sunday afternoon. The driver has not been located, and investigators are determining ownership as a tow truck retrieved the partly submerged vehicle. The highway patrol spokesman described the car leaving the road, crossing, and entering the pond.
Barnwell County Detention Center records bookings for February 28 through March 2, 2015. Names include Tyrone Mole charged with DUI and open container, Antonio Abney accused of CDV and assault on an officer, Eric Kirkland with a family court bench warrant.
