Book fair draws massive crowd at AAUW Books n Things Fair
The 45th annual AAUW Books n Things Fair opened in the old Club Fitness building in Aiken on Friday drawing long lines and eager shoppers. Thousands of titles across categories filled the main room and Attic Treasures offered an eclectic mix, with rare books priced at 25 percent of online values. Proceeds support local AAUW scholarship programs.

The St Thaddeus Home and Garden Tour, a 20 plus year tradition in Aiken, runs April 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a self guided route through eight homes, one garden, and the St Thaddeus church yard culminating in a tea garden. Proceeds benefit local charities including the soup kitchen and free medical clinic.
