Local Soldier Jason Moski Remembered by Wagener Salley High
Memorial notes Jason L. Moski, 24, a Wagener Salley High School graduate from Blackville, killed near his patrol in Taji Iraq. Teachers recall him as a good kid and drummer who played football for the War Eagles. Also killed were Adam Brewer of Dewey Oklahoma and Colby Farnan of Weston Missouri. eight others wounded as DoD reports Sunday.

Lemur Case Against Graniteville Couple Heads To City Court
A Graniteville couple faces charges over their ring tailed lemur Taboo after a SuperPetz employee was scratched on January 3. Michelle DeWitt is charged with owning a vicious animal and Anthony DeWitt with ill treatment of animals. The trial, originally set for Monday, is tentatively scheduled for March 28 in City Court and the couple defend the animal as non vicious. The incident prompted medical treatment and a rabies vaccination for the victim.
