Two men charged in Clearwater convenience store robbery
Aiken County Sheriff Office and North Augusta Public Safety captured two Aiken County men linked to a robbery at Carolina Express on Jefferson Davis Highway. Robert Dean McCall Jr. faces armed robbery and weapons charges, Corey Allen Jordan faces armed robbery. Suspects identified and detained after the 12:30 p.m. incident.

Trooper Dies In 110 MPH Highway Crash Near Lancaster
Cpl. D Kevin Cusack 45 died instantly when his patrol car wrecked on state Highway 200 near Lancaster six miles south of the curve where a side road meets at an odd angle. Tests showed speeds between 104 and 111 mph. Cusack a 21 year veteran of the Highway Patrol.
