Judge denies bond for man in shooting case
Second Circuit Judge Thomas Russo denied bond for Hinson Noble 25 of Augusta charged with the murder of Robert Watson Jr. 22 last August. The judge cited Noble’s lack of ties to the community and potential flight risk. Noble was arrested in New York City five days after Watson’s body was found at his Carolina Springs Road residence. Watson’s relatives traveled from out of state to oppose bond.

Trenton man arrested on family sexual assault charges
A 44 year old man Myron K Renew was arrested after warrants issued February 28 for alleged sexual assault of a young girl in his family between September 2003 and May 2004. He was also arrested in Edgefield on unrelated charges and later booked on the warrant.
