Aiken County Board Approves 2017-18 Budget With Pay Increases
The Aiken County Board of Education unanimously approves the 2017-18 budget for Aiken County Public Schools with pay raises for eligible staff and no tax increase. Highlights include a teacher and staff pay scale step increase to 25 steps, a second service credit phase, 5 percent supplements, and $300 total per teacher for supplies. The 191.7 million general fund budget rises 3.6 percent.
