Three men charged in Augusta murder tied to drive by
Nicholas Griffin was killed on Jonathan Court. Trevon Crump 19 Keonie Hall 17 were held at Aiken County jail and Devonte Gavin 17 at Charles B Webster Detention Center. All face murder three aggravated assault counts and firearm charges. Gavin surrendered Friday morning. Crump and Hall were captured on Hutchinson Drive in Aiken with ATF and Richmond County investigators.

Beech Island armed robbery report leaves victim shaken
A 66 year old Beech Island man reported an armed robbery on Saturday. He said a man claiming to be law enforcement handcuffed him and pointed a gun before the suspect, with a second man he knows for giving the dog, left with the wallet and medications. No arrests were made.

A North Augusta woman reported a disturbance at a gas station on Edgefield Road where a North Augusta man allegedly pointed a loaded firearm and fired a shot. Witnesses were reluctant to provide statements, and deputies could not establish probable cause for a warrant. Separately a Graniteville woman reported clothing stolen from a laundromat on Hitchcock Parkway. A North Augusta man reported vandalism on Seymour Drive with a brick found nearby. A road rage incident on I-20 involved a Evans, Georgia man and a North Augusta man after a shotgun was briefly displayed. a warrant will be submitted for the North Augusta man while the Georgia man was taken into custody and apologized.

Two I-20 Collisions Kill Man and Injure Trooper
A North Augusta man, Caleb Joseph Metz, 26, died at the scene after his car crossed into eastbound lanes on I-20 at mile marker 39 in Lexington County. A second fatal crash near the same location killed 25-year-old Keith D Kennedy from Columbia who struck a Lexington County Fire Service vehicle assisting the first crash. Autopsies are pending and the Highway Patrol continues the investigation.
