Archbishop Chaput and Mayor Nutter concluded Vatican talks on a Sept 22 27 World Meeting of Families. They have pledges totaling over 30 million of a 45 million target to fund security infrastructure and outreach. About 6 000 volunteers are lined up of the 10 000 needed. The event will feature an interfaith conference and sponsorships to aid poor attendees.
