Record Fourth of July Travel Predicted for Carolinas
Travel officials say a record number of South Carolinians will road trip for the Fourth of July with AAA Carolinas predicting 451,000 in-state travelers. Gas prices average 99 cents per gallon statewide, Myrtle Beach leading at 1.03, Charleston 0.98, Greenville 0.97. Last year SC saw 14 motorists killed during the holiday.
