Possessed Aiken man goes missing after bridge incident
An Aiken man claiming demonic possession fled his family on York Street bridge Tuesday. Officers responded at 5:30 p.m. after a fi ance reported he ran away during a trip to see a priest. Fire destroys home on Hammond Road in Aiken
Investigators investigating the Tuesday Hammond Road house fire in Aiken have not yet determined a cause. Lt. Jake Mahoney says investigators will return this afternoon to the scene. The house is considered destroyed, but all residents escaped safely with no injuries reported.

Dog Day Crafternoons at Aiken Shelter Draws Kids
FOTAS hosts Dog Day Crafternoons for children aged 5 and up at the Aiken County Animal Shelter on July 8 22 and August 8 12 from 1 30 to 3 30 p m daily.
