Bank Robbery At Whiskey Road Bank Ends In Suspect On the Loose
A white male with a light beard and red hair robbed the People's Community Bank on Tuesday afternoon near Silver Bluff Road. He demanded money with a written note, left the scene without a weapon, and a Blue Bugle Boy shirt was found in a Taylor Street dumpster. Police describe a 20 to 30 year old, 5'8" to 5'9" man wearing khaki pants. Investigators reviewed surveillance images and are checking mug shots as federal and local agencies search. The incident involved the Aiken Department of Public Safety, Aiken County Sheriff's Office, North Augusta Public Safety, the Aiken Bloodhound Team, and the FBI. The case remains under FDIC bank robbery protocol.
