Stefan Hirsch's mural, painted in 1935 and long covered by drapes, is undraped for public viewing Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. behind the courtroom bench with permission from Judge Charles A. Simons and the General Services Administration. No admission fee.

Vandals entered Schofield Campus through back doors to the band room at Aiken High and caused undetermined damage by breaking windows and dumping trash in the gym. No theft reported by school officials per the Aiken Department of Public Safety.

Recount Set for Aiken District Five Ballot Review
The recount of ballots in Aiken County Council District Five is scheduled for tomorrow at 10 a.m. at the county complex on Richland Avenue. Chairman Ralph C. Haywood said the hearing remains on and a winner between Democrat Billie K Trapp and Republican L Kline Paulk will be declared after more than six months of delay. The Supreme Court earlier refused to rehear the appeal in the case.
