Judge upholds Wisconsin domestic partnership law
Dane County Circuit Judge Daniel Moeéer ruled that Wisconsin's 2009 domestic partnership registry does not create a legal status for partners identical or substantially similar to marriage. He said the state does not recognize domestic partnership like marriage and that partners have far fewer rights than spouses, a victory for Wisconsin's largest gay rights group.
