Augusta welcomes Stackhouse sculpture linked to warship relic
Acclaimed New York sculptor Robert Stackhouse debuts a nautically themed outdoor sculpture A Augusta at Augusta State University inspired by a flagpole said to be part of USS Augusta. The work forms part of a summer tour including Morris Museum of Art and Mary Pauline Gallery, with related exhibitions and works reflecting Stackhouse’s river and lake childhoods and Jungian archetypes.
