World War II codebreaker Mabel Crawford dies at 92
Mabel Garvin Crawford one of about 250 female Navy codebreakers who decoded Axis messages at Hunter College in Washington died June 17 2010. The top secret work was declassified in 1995 and she received the NSA Exceptional Service Award that year.
