Richland Avenue gets resurfacing upgrade

Neighbors, volunteers save Aiken man’s home from fire

Quick-thinking volunteers and good neighbors rushed to aid John Rapp after an exhaust fan shorted, sparking a blaze that tore a hole in the roof. Rapp and his wife Florence were at home on Wedgewood Drive in Dogwood Manor when neighbors knocked and alerted them, preventing major damage or injury.
