Bruster a 63 pound English bulldog caused a scene after the wedding of a North Carolina State couple when he escaped from a Gibsonville home and wandered into a laundromat during the reception. Onlookers giggled and applauded as the dog’s grand entrance turned playful chaos into a memorable moment.
In Lebanon Ohio Warren County judge Neal Bronson issued a restraining order keeping Sam the beer drinking chimpanzee from returning to Kenneth Harris at the Train Inn. A June hearing was set as civil neglect and cruelty charges are filed by the Humane Society groups.

The Plutonium Finishing Plant at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation near Richland Washington may shut down permanently as Energy Department officials prepare a decision for August. The plant has been closed since October after a procedural violation risked a heat and radiation chain reaction.
New York mayor Edward Koch rejected the idea that Goetz's acquittal encourages vigilantism. A Goetz defense lawyer called the verdict tragically hopeful for bigots, while the district attorney said the decision was not racist. Koch spoke after the trial at a mayors meeting in Nashville.
The government reports a 4.8 percent annualized GNP rise in January through March 1987, driven by a large inventory build led by unsold cars. Despite growth, inflation quickened to 4.2 percent, and robust domestic demand lagged as consumer spending fell 1.1 percent and business investment dropped.
