Early Father's Day Doughnuts For Dads at Aiken-Barnwell Headstart
Fathers and male relatives attended a Doughnuts For Dads breakfast and movie event sponsored by Chandler Law Firm to honor dads in the Aiken-Barnwell Headstart program. Headstart director Shadie Hall noted active father involvement, with some volunteering in classrooms and facilities. The program serves seven centers in Aiken and Barnwell counties and emphasizes family goal setting through a needs assessment. Summer Enrichment runs 7:30 am to 6 pm for ages 3-12, and the broader aim is to ensure every child has access to quality education regardless of income.
